Only in America does this happen, so last month Floyd Mayweather Jr was sentenced to 90 days for beating up the mother of his child. That crime alone you would think might get the guy banned from boxing, but no, he still has a fight in May. So today he was supposed to start his 90 day sentence, but his attorney got the judge to move his date to June so he can train for a fight in May. So you go, hmm, guy beats a woman, then he gets his jail time postponed to train for a fight. Think that bad, it gets better, his fight in May is against and undetermined opponent at the MGM Grand.

So his attorney tells the judge the guy who beats woman get hundreds of millions of dollars for Vegas when he fights, can you delay his sentence to train for a fight against and undetermined opponent, and the judge agrees. The cherry on top of this ridiculous situation is Ray J and Lil Kim show up to support him in court. The Kim Kardashian and Ray J sex tapes are pretty much the only reason we know who Ray J is, but I guess in Mayweathers circles he is considered a famous friend. We say we don’t give our celebrity’s preferential treatment, but once again the US justice system shows that celebrity’s are above the law. Guy beat the mother of his child, in front of the child none the less, this is just insane and an outrage for abused woman around the world.
